The Fudge Pot has been a family-owned institution in Chicago since 1963. We specialize in fine, handmade chocolates, confections, and novelty treats. We are passionate about making Wells Street and Chicago a sweeter place to live, and hope to have you with us!
General responsibilities will include:
-Learning the basics about chocolate, candy, and our production techniques.
-Assisting our senior team in production, finishing, and packaging.
-Help answer customer questions about products and our services and handling orders.
-Help maintain an clean and presentable environment.
-Handle cash and various POS terminals (Grubhub, Square, etc.)
-Help receive shipments and put away stock boxes of up to 50lbs.
-Maintain attractive displays and help set up seasonal promotional displays.
-Adhere to a dress code and maintain a clean uniform.
You should:
-Be available for night and weekend shifts (8pm Sunday-Thursday, 10pm Friday & Saturday)
-Be able to work on your feet comfortably during your shift.
-Understand basic sanitation protocol and/or have a willingness to learn.
-Be willing to taste different products to gain a better understanding our product line
-Have some retail or money-handling experience.
-Intend to stay with our company for 1-2 years if not longer.
-Bring an outgoing personality and be friendly!

-Compensation rates based on past experience with retail sales and/or food production.
-10-20 hours per week on average (opportunities for more hours available during peak season October-December)
